Today's blog post comes from a gloomy sleepy land of Cleveland. I didn't mean to do a photo shoot today but it kinda happened, and the textures and colors are fun. Lately my husband has been experimenting with a Paleo diet and I have been attempting to be a good wife and make him snacks and dinners that abide by the Paleo rules. In a nut shell the diet consists of ... meat, veggies, nuts, fruits, and some fats like avocados. It tries the emulate something like a caveman diet, blah blah blah.
In my never ending real house wife of Chagrin Falls duties I began to make these fruity nut bars for Matt to take to work. The variety of nuts and dried fruits that I threw together inspired me to grab my camera and take some shots. I didn't have the energy today to set up a big set in the kitchen, so I did natural light today. I am also using my new mirrorless Sony A6000 camera which I think I have decided is not the best when it comes to my food photography, but perhaps for other images.
So needless to say these images came out a bit more rustic, and I think it is appealing considering the caveman style of eating we are doing these days. And I am not going to lie, these bars are friggin delicious, I have outdone myself if I may say so myself.
Check it out...
I used pumpkin seeds, peanuts, almonds, dried cranberries and dried strawberries. Very fall inspired...and delicious.
After a fabulous dosing of eggs, pumpkin pie spice, and honey onto the sheet pan, and into the oven they go!
Yay! Paleo Fruity Nut Bars!
